What is the purpose of the workshop?
Participants and parents will learn about the VEX Robotics tournament, hear experiences from past team members, get details about the next competition, understand expectations for both participants and parents, and enjoy a hands-on session building robot parts.

The workshop is from 9am-12:30pm which includes 30 minutes Pizza break at the end.

All materials will be provided. We recommend bringing a water bottle and wearing comfortable clothing.

As a non-profit, our costs are relatively low—typically $1,000 to $1,500 for robot parts and the field. Actual costs depend on the number of participants and the number of competitions the team qualifies for.

How much commitment is needed from parents?
A high level of commitment is required, as the program is run by parent volunteers. Beyond drop-off and pick-up, we ask that at least one parent from each group serve as a mentor to help ensure the kids make consistent progress.
